Glad he earned it. Now it's time to finish.

I'm less than 2 seasons he's taken Texas 8&4 to essentially a lock for a the playoffs, looking like a first round bye, and I'm control of our design for a SEC Championship.

We started him with a well structured new coach in a big stage deal. If you can't see that he's down to be able to handle big boy college football and other programs were absolutely looking at him, I simply don't know what to tell you.

This **** is all speculative. We're buying a lottery ticket and hoping for the best. The question is, would you rather buy Elko's ticket based on what you've seen, or let him go and roll the dice on the next guy?

It's really out of the fan's hands. Some of the alumni have a say in what is being spent on coaches and players, but you and I have no say on what they spend. Elko looks like he's keeping the team disciplined, and there was that bit in the article written about him on how he locked the late comers to a meeting out, the very first meeting he had with the team and 19 players locked out I believe. THAT means a lot to me, especially if he can get the "highly talented" players to check their egos at the door and be a team player.

Big contracts require better more sane break ups if SHTF. But I'm on Team Elko.

I count five years left with six added so 11x11.5 so 126 million presumably guaranteed.

Should've played out the year with Elkos existing contract structure then address at season's end.

and also we won't make the SEC title game, which is like all of them

nor will we make the playoffs, another thing that is like all the rest of the seasons we've had
