I saw an ESPN article reranking all of the Power 4 QBs based on the season so far.

Arch was below King, Reed, AND Weigman.

They also comfortably forget that they should have lost to both Mississippi State and Kentucky, and the only reason they didn't was because of poor coaching by those teams - not anything the horns did. They could easily be sitting at 5-4 and in danger of not making a bowl with their remaining schedule. Scratch that. They could have lost to Vandy last week, as well and be sitting and 4-5. They comfortably beat OU, which would be impressive. However, all of their other conference games were determined by one score. They have not done anything to impress, and if they had a different name on the front of their jersey, they would be called out for that fact.

Any other last name and any other team, no one would think Arch was anything worth writing about.

You have to credit the play-calling and his receivers. They are keeping his passes quick and short and its all YAC that is padding his stats.

2. Haynes King, Georgia Tech
6. Gunner Stockton, Georgia
7. CJ Carr, Notre Dame *
10. Taylen Green, Arkansas *
12. Marcel Reed, Texas A&M
18. Sawyer Robertson, Baylor
22. Behren Morton, Texas Tech
23. Josh Hoover, TCU
30. Kevin Jennings, SMU
32. John Mateer, Oklahoma
34. Connor Weigman, Houston
35. Arch Manning, UTerus

Arch 7th best QB.....in the State of Texas.

*A&M has played and beaten

The write-up on Arch has me particularly excited about our season finale:

Quote:

Saddled with a surprisingly poor run game and a shaky line (122nd in pressure rate), Manning has been swimming upstream all season. He still holds on to the ball too long despite throwing tons of behind-the-line passes, and his footwork on downfield passes still betrays him

YES, PLEASE!

Also why are the names whited out? These are not private messages. These people posted on public facing social media. Actions have consequences.

He throws an accurate screen pass at least 65% of the time he tries.

Sips are stuck with this slackjaw Manning kid for another season at least, which is a victory in itself for us. They can't fire him now. They aren't making the playoffs with that goober at QB this year or next, which will perfectly align with our program being supercharged over this year and next.

60% of the time, it works every time.

If memory serves, the win against ou wasn't really comfortable. A late punt return TD made the score look more comfortable than the total game actually was. A reasonable case could be made that Mateer"s health was a critical factor. Then there's Venables. Yeah.
