Saddled with a surprisingly poor run game and a shaky line (122nd in pressure rate), Manning has been swimming upstream all season. He still holds on to the ball too long despite throwing tons of behind-the-line passes, and his footwork on downfield passes still betrays him
He throws an accurate screen pass at least 65% of the time he tries.Logos Stick said:
You have to credit the play-calling and his receivers. They are keeping his passes quick and short and it's all YAC that is padding his stats.

They also comfortably forget that they should have lost to both Mississippi State and Kentucky, and the only reason they didn't was because of poor coaching by those teams - not anything the horns did. They could easily be sitting at 5-4 and in danger of not making a bowl with their remaining schedule. Scratch that. They could have lost to Vandy last week, as well and be sitting and 4-5. They comfortably beat OU, which would be impressive. However, all of their other conference games were determined by one score. They have not done anything to impress, and if they had a different name on the front of their jersey, they would be called out for that fact.
Any other last name and any other team, no one would think Arch was anything worth writing about.
