If you look at the cfb management committee, sec and b10 have one vote each. Notre dame has equal power to sec and b10. And ao does every crappy conf. That explains why the playoff committee full of loser schools, get to pick the top 12.

Agreed that these rankings are not a call for any outrage, it's very likely that everything will be clear once all 12 games are played.

That said, the statements from the committee justifying their current rankings were asinine. Also, they basically just mirror the AP poll, so why even have a committee getting paid millions when the AP voters can do this job for them.

Someone had mentioned on a few other threads that we should just bring back the BCS computer and let it sort the teams and I agree with this sentiment. With 12 getting in it's almost always going to be obvious and the computer won't have the big name bias we see now in polling.

We can find anything to complain about. It's exhausting. There's as much pissing and moaning when we're 8-0 and ranked #3 as there is when we're 4-4 and unranked. Will y'all please just shut the hell up and appreciate where we are right now?!

This is always comical to me too, Indiana and OSU will eventually play each other in the Big 10 Championship if they win out, so one of them has to fall a few spots. Tech and BYU play each other this weekend, one will lose and drop down. This ranking truly doesn't mean anything other than, we are in a good spot, keep winning the games in front of you and do your job. If we don't win out, we most likely don't make Atlanta, and if we lose 2, we probably miss the playoffs. Control your own destiny and block out the rest. We had this opportunity last season and we blew it, lets hope this year is different.

Erm, neither Indiana or osu have played any particularly potent offensive team yet.

We've got notre dame and Arkansas. If either iu or osu played them their defensive stats would also be worse.

Conversely, if we played osu or Indianas schedule, or defense would probably look much better on paper.

Whatever, doesnt matter, we win out or win 2 of the next 3 sec games, were in the playoffs. That's where we really want to be. We will have ample opportunities to prove these clowns wrong
