I haven't run with a phone in years but may start, how are most people carrying their phones? Last time I carried a phone on runs they were a lot smaller so not sure if an arm band or some kind of belt works best

I've gotten back into running after a 20 year hiatus. I messed around plodding 2 miles around my neighborhood for a while, then got a Forerunner 165 this summer and have been steadily improving with the run coach. I'm still slow as christmas, but my longer runs and tempo runs are starting to cross 4 miles, and I'm starting to think about bringing more than my phone and earbuds with me. At what point do you bring water? Fuel? It seems a lot of people eat something at around 3 - 4 miles. I know I do better if I eat a little snack right before, but I feel I could use water/electrolytes during, especially on hot days.
I know there have been recent posts about a belt to carry a phone, but what about something big enough for a little water? Is there a primer on this stuff?

Literally smoked myself on a 45 min "tempo" run today. The overall pace was slower than my long run Saturday morning.
Looks like a little front hits on Thanksgiving, so you should have some nice temps for the trot!

If you think that's massive, you should do New York. It's mindboggling to be running for hours with an absolute sea of humanity as far as you can see in front and behind you.
Lottery opens Feb 4!
