It's pretty common for thieves to follow people leaving ranges, but they're supposed to wait until someone goes into a store to break in & steal their guns. Like S&W/Springfield/Come & Take It stickers, a range trip likely means you left a gun in your car.
You'd be surprised at how many people go to a range and shoot every bit of the ammo they have.
Always have a spare mag that you keep loaded with your good ammo, or make sure you leave enough at the end of a shooting session to load up a mag for the ride home.
And don't go to a ghetto, that always helps too.
