Looking primarily for places in and around 610, but think it makes sense to add any and all. Somewhere for kids to be able to run around if parents want to grab some food, a drink (responsibly) and relax.

Stomping grounds (big enclosed green space with multiple restaurants - no kicking balls allowed - can be very busy on weekend evenings)

Crisp (small area but enclosed and let's kids play with balls)

Little mats (paid machines)

Common bond heights (green space but isn't enclosed; relatively cheap kids meals and $5 mimosa carafes)

Preslees (enclosed playground but really small and dirty)

D alba (enclosed playground but is too small when it gets really busy)

Betsys at Evelyn park (not enclosed but a large area for play).

MKT (not enclosed but big large area; lots of food options)

What else should we add?

We regularly take our kids to Tony's (not the Mexican restaurant) and they always have a blast just running around the restaurant. Plenty of room to run around and lots of things to play with, although they have to improvise some (which is great for brain development). All the workers say our kids are the cutest.

Millies in oak forest also has a small enclosed play area

Stomping Grounds is great, but would be a lot better if it wasn't always crowded with everyone's feral children.

Millie's…the playground area kind of sucks ass but my kids don't seem to mind seeing as they ask to go there (5 and 1.5).

Dogs > children
100%

If you're going to bring kids to a restaurant, make sure you pack their iPads and snacks so they will shut the hell up while the grown ups are drinking.

That way they will grow up to be good little awkward humans with no social skills or ability to connect with others.

New restaurant will be opening up by the end of February. Will have an 3,000 sq ft play area for kids. In the location across from Rainbow Lodge where King's Bierhaus was.

This thread should expand to inside BW8.

All the kid haters can eat it!

Mia's/Torchys gessner any day/time
Ciros dinner patio reservations
Treebeards/ what was Texa on Gaylord
Pit room
Sneaky place on Witte I'm blanking on name
North Italia at blvd place (open area adjacent that isn't utilized imho)
Rustic uptown park during the day my kids love it.

Just a starter pack to expand geography. Great topic and appreciate OP starting it.

Lazy Oaks on Long Point is great. On Witte, you are probably thinking of Underbelly Burger or Wild Oats. Dish Society on Memorial is also good.

In Rice Village area there is Cyclone Anaya's and there is a semi-enclosed courtyard there.

Punk's Simple Southern Food used to be next door and shared the courtyard, but they closed during the pandemic. Punk's was awesome- great food, cool vibe. It was a shame to see it go as it was an awesome, kid-friendly location.

The row of restaurants on Morningside in Rice Village has a big outdoor area: Hopdoddy, Rice Box,, Mendocino Farms, D'Amico's.

Goode Company Taqueria outdoor fountain.

Barnaby's on Binz has an outdoor patio with games. Same with Gypsy Poet in midtown.

I liked Punk's too, but I think we are in the definite minority that liked it

Good call on Cyclones> green space adjacent to that Hanover deal. Was very pleasant a few months back.

We did Levy Park yesterday and had brunch at Hearsay at the SE corner of the park. Oddly a bit too fancy being attached to the park imho but great menu and we enjoyed the patio. Lucked into Santa showing up at 11 on our way out with no line.
