I know there is a lot of love here for Bobby G. I've used him twice and quality/value was never there compared to other options, in my opinion. I'm probably the minority here, he gets high praise.
For OP, what you are looking for here is made to measure (MTM). Custom usually means multiple fittings and working direct with a craftsman. MTM is a middle ground that allows you to pick options and size, and machine made to your specs. There are a lot of budget MTM outfits that cut corners and sell you an inferior product for a premium price.
I'm tall and struggle with options and do a lot of MTM. It's a Pandora's box once you open, and it's easy to get wrapped up in all the options. I have been disappointed on many occasions. It's an expensive journey and no return policy. Consider it an education and once you get your sizing and styling dialed in, it's hard to go back.
For your first time, I'd go with Suit Supply. They use quality fabrics and buttons. It's a little pricey but their product is a good value. They excel on details that others fail (in my opinion) lapel width and shoulder construction. There is value in having someone do your measurements.
Never order without being able to handle the swatch/cloth and confirm the color and quality. I would not purchase from a place I could not handle a sample. Look for fusing (look it up) a mark of lower quality. Also handle the shoulders, the shoulder construction will often drive the style.
Have fun!
