Happy New Year, everyone! The TexAgs watch community is very special to me. I've met a lot of yall in person and the support I receive here is insane. I get referrals from you all as well in which I'm eternally grateful. Thank you all for your support, patience, and trust in working with me. I hope everyone has an awesome and successful 2026 and any watch goals you have are realized this year!!

Thank you again, yall are the best!

I'll probably get a call about a Daytona tomorrow since the prices went up.

Ok, so is Rolex now doing what some on here just said they would never do? Are they killing the gray market with these increases?

Edit: I'm not seeing price increases on Rolex.com unless they actually raised them earlier than y'all thought. An oyster steel Daytona is same price today as it was last week when I looked at it.

Of course they will raise prices. I know I never never said they wouldn't. I merely said raising them to knock speculators and secondary sales margin out wouldn't be wise and flies in the face of their brand. Secondly, I suspect you see a lot of the watchmakers do this in the US over the next few months in response to the tariffs.

What's the grey and/or secondary market looking like on Omega worldtimers these days? The blue one.

Rolex wants to protect the value for people who paid MSRP so they limit product when they start selling under MSRP grey to bring the supply in line with the demand. I had previously posted an example of submariners going for under MSRP on jomashop and the next year they massive cut the production of steel submariners to being the price back in line.

What's the tolerance for a Rolex warranty repair for accuracy? My GMT is just over four years old and by my calculation seems to be losing about 13 seconds a day

They will never kill the gray market. Either the watches will be scarce and selling over msrp on gray (immediate availability, or they will be readily available and no reason to buy them from the AD anymore when you can get them gray for cheaper

I believe its +/- 2s a day. I think some older models are +4/-2 but 13 seconds is enough to get it serviced.
