I'm going to the Dwight Yoakum concert at the Moody Center in a couple of weeks. It's been a while since I've been to a concert in Austin.

Last time I went to a concert in that area was at the Erwin Center and was able to park on the street not too far away.

Can you still do that? Or is there a parking garage close by that would be a better option?

You can typically find parking on the east side of 35 if you want to avoid the cluster and/or expenses of parking in a garage next to Moody.

The Trinity Garage is a good option. Drive up to the 4th or 5th level when you get there for an easy exit.

I've heard good comments about the SpotHero app (to find parking)

We were there in June for an event - originally wanted Manor Garage due to proximity but bought them too late and ended up in the Trinity Garage. Worked out because I think it's the third level of the Trinity Garage (where minimal people were parked) has it's own entrance/exit due to the elevation change. So we were able to drive out immediately when we got to the car. Friends of ours that parked in Manor took about 30-40 minutes to get out. Trinity is about a 15 minute walk to Moody so not bad at all.

This is the answer. The garage is on a hill. The upper exit has always been an easy out after an event.

The concert was a lot of fun. I planned on parking at the Trinity garage after the suggestions but when we got there they said you had to have a permit to park. Guess you need to buy a pass prior to going, not sure.

Ended up parking at State garage G at Trinity and 17th. There were tons of the electric bike carts around, had a guy give us a ride there and caught another one after the show. That saved 15 minutes or so of walking each way. They move pretty fast. Fun and worth a few extra bucks. The first one had a speaker connected to the cart playing Dwight Yoakum songs.

Moody Center is a great venue for a concert.
