This is my method
I assume you already know because you pulled them but always pull before a rain if theybhave been in the ground long enough
If possible I pull and leave in the sun for 3-4 days and them put on a shelf with a fan if possible to dry the stalks
Once the stalls are dry I still try to keep a fan for a month to cure
And yes like burnIt said my onions will last till October and when they start going bad they will sure smell up the garage

I also started a new fertilizer treatment this year and they are the biggest Inhave ever grown
