Are there any specialty photo labs in the CS area that will develop 35 mm film and return the negatives? Trying to avoid using drug stores that farm out to a third party.

My searches thus far have not generated any hits.

I hadn't…just browsed over their services and didnt see film development listed. Probably not a bad idea to ask.

no one does c41 anymore... I had a studio in town for 30 years... and my lab is still the #1 lab In the country...

www.mpix.com 800-835-0603 ask for Debra. Tell her darrin in texas sent you.

They should be able to develop the film, but they'll probably scan it and send you something with the images on it and the negs...

I am going to piggyback on this.

Anyone know a good place to get an old 35mm camera looked at and make sure it works? I assume I will have to go to Austin or Houston.

Have an old Leica IIIc (I believe that is the model) that I inherited and am thinking of getting it checked out before I try to use it. Going to have to get a light meter as well.

Wanna sell it? I'm half kidding. That's a great little camera.

I develop/scan my own negatives (C-41 and B&W) but I'm in no way a lab and sometimes goof up. I'd follow Darrin's advice above...

One of my photographs for attention...

StudioOne - Do your friends at mpix.com do black & white? I've got a couple of rolls of 35mm B&W that I need to get developed.

We had a Kodak disc camera. My brother snuck it into The Summit and we got some sweet Van Halen pics from the 5th row.

I had a studio in town for 30 years.... ive used every type of camera, from micro spy cameras to 11x14 negative civil war stuff.. I've got one of the largest collection of antique photo equipment in texas. including several leicas...

so yea... I can show you how to use it and make sure it works..

ive got two Leica 1a's im considering selling, the first production models of the Leica... circa 1924..

but they're very hard to use as they're 100% manual... not even a meter.. 100% rangefinder type. No interchangeable lenses... 50mm is welded to the camera...

Specialties sends film and slides to Precision in Austin or Houston. You could obviously do the same. They offer all sorts of services (albeit, the same ones you used to find in pretty much every city). It's a shame we no longer have a lab here.
