I wonder if he TexAgs?!
I've been told that they all lurk and read. They just don't post.
Then let them see this: Be more like Yancy who listens to the citizens and does his best to vote how they wish. Be less like Wright who will rubber stamp anything the city manager wants, regardless of what the citizens want or is in their best interest.
I've watched a few council meetings. Councilman Wrong acts like he is better than the citizens who speak. I'm pretty sure he wanted to vote in favor of the data center but didn't want to be the only 2 for votes for. Place 1 Smith would have been the other.
So, with all my work on that issue (I'm trying to write a book, even), the City Manager / Economic Dev guy were floating a narrative that they needed to get the deal approved to work through the particulars and "see what all was involved". Now, I've done several real estate deals in my life (including commercial), and that's never been the case. I've also worked on a heck of a lot of multi-million dollar hardware, software, and services deals on the vendor (and buyer) side in my very long career in tech, and I can assure you that's *never* the case. The other side's legal wants to hammer out all the minutiae before signing the dotted line.
The complete contempt for the citizens, local business owners, other governing bodies, etc. is simply mind boggling. We need to clean house. To my mind, the first person that has to go after swapping several City Council members is the City Manager, followed by anyone that subscribes to his way of doing business. Full stop.
