We've had a New Braunfels offset smoker at the ranch that we no longer use. I've brought it back to Katy. Before hauling it to the dump, I figured I'd see if someone here wants it.
Just to set expectations, this is one of the thinner metal models, not a heavy-duty offset. It'll cook and smoke meat, but you'll have to stay on top of the fire more than you would with a nicer pit. There are also a few gaps around the doors, as you can see in the pictures.
That said, it's completely functional. Grates are in good shape, temperature gauge was replaced a while back, and it would be a good pit for someone wanting to learn offset cooking without spending any money.
I'll hang onto it for a week. After that, it's getting hauled off.
Ps … that's the last brisket I cooked on it.
