Praise the lord. Got 2.8" in Zapata county overnight with another .8 predicted today. Certainly nice to wake up to other than dust in the rain gauge.

Drove from Flour Bluff to home in SA this morning. Didn't get rained on to speak of.
Downloaded the Rain Drop App yesterday as recommended here, looks like we got maybe an inch at the parched ranch north of Freer. We got robbed, was hoping for more.
ETA, 1.25" in the gauge in SA.

Kimble County you say? .25 on Wednesday (4/1), .15 on Saturday (4/4), and .2 overnight (4/5). So, a little over half an inch. We missed most of it---typical. What we got should green things up a little bit but we need a 2-3" rain to get the river to rise. The South Llano R. is nasty? Lots of green, filamentous algae and if you go kayaking or canoeing expect to get out multiple times pulling over rocks. Check here https://hydromet.lcra.org/ for Kimble County rain. We are #54 on that map and the rainfall totals for the year are less than any other number on that map yet, the Drought Index (prepared at Univ of Nebraska) has Kimble County as only "abnormally dry". I don't get it.

I use Raindrop but have pretty much figured out that it's a suggestion. My app says 1.6"-1.7" in Zapata county. The actual rain gauges saying 3" now.

Awesome. Friends South of Hebronville had the best quail season in many years last year. Hoping they got this with more in the future.
