Hope this is the correct forum. I have an S-130 John Deere mower that needs service. Is there anyone that does field service? Thanks in advance.

Basic service, such as oil & filter, air & fuel filter, plug, etc. is pretty easy with YT vids for guidance.

I don't know that mower, but if it starts, runs, and moves like normal but the mower won't engage - my first inclination is to check the Operator in Seat safety switch under the seat.

I know you said you don't have the capability to move this yourself, and unfortunately I don't know who to recommend if you could; but if pointing you in a direction to check is helpful - that is where I would start.

It is a safety interlock to ensure the operator is firmly in the seat and the circuit must be made for the mower to engage. This is what cuts the mower off when you stand up out the seat to push a branch aside or lean over to catch your beer someone threw you.

Centerpole gives good guidance. And you can rent a trailer cheaper than a service call, I would bet.

Could also be a belt that broke. I have had that happen and replaced it myself.

Call your local JD or mower repair. Some will pick up and drop off

If it is a belt, it should be an easy DIY project for you or someone you know who is willing to help. I changed the belt on my JD mower easily by following a YouTube video.

Could be the blade clutch, if so easy fix.

I'm a DIYer myself, but can't you also rent a truck from HD for $19.95/ day?

The S-130 and other similar models utilize an electric blade clutch to engage the blades with a switch on the dash.
The electric clutch is notorious for going out. The dash switches go out but not frequently like the electric clutch.
If the seat safety switch is not the culprit probably going to be the electric clutch as swampstander posted.
