Let me know if you have any questions about moving to Arkansas.

Ozark A&M Club is on Facebook and is based in NWA.

Congrats on your opportunity that will allow you to move up there. Don't know how remote you want buy, but there are great properties that butt up against national forest throughout the state so you can purchase access to almost unlimited acreage with limited entry for hunting and fishing.

Did some exploring up in that area while my daughter was at Arkansas a while. Some beautiful country up there for sure.

My oldest daughter went to John Brown University in Siloam Springs. We enjoyed traveling up there to visit. It's beautiful country up there. And Siloam Springs is a nice little town. About 10-15K population, I'd say.

And if you're up that way, go to the Wooden Spoon restaurant in Gentry. It's run by Mennonites. Holy Cow, it's good. Their desserts are phenomenal. Everything except the ice cream is made from scratch.

Man this thread makes me a bit jealous. I would love to get out of Texas but my wife just won't move. Arkansas has some
beautiful country up there.

I love east Texas but live close enough to Arkansas that we visit often. I'm always watching for 50-100 acre place to go on the market for my own hunting land.

Looks like my job is going to pay to relocate me to NW Arkansas! Wife and I are driving in today and staying near Rogers for a week and then possibly moving fairly quickly.

Would love to connect with any Ags in the area. Into hunting, fishing and astrophotography so NW Arkansas is looking pretty exciting!

I'm a several decades long, t-shirt Ag. My wife and girls and I live in Rogers. It's really nice up here, especially considering I'm from the MS Delta. Lots to do, very safe, clean, lots of opportunity and great schools. It's growing extremely quickly. The smaller towns are becoming bigger and the tiny towns are starting to grow as a result. Welcome to the area!

NWA is one of the fastest growing areas in the country right now. And the traffic from Fayetteville to Rogers reflects that. Its an overall conservative area with the liberal pocket of Fayetteville. Eureka is an artsy little village a little over an hour to the east. Cool for a day trip or weekend getaway.

There's 4 actual seasons here, clear flowing creeks and rivers, clearwater lakes, tons of public land for camping, hiking, mountain biking, etc. Smallmouth, spotted, largemouth, bass, trout, crappie, deer, etc., are abundant.

UA sports teams dominate the media here, so the whole state is woo pig, but you learn to ignore it and go on about your day.

Liberal areas up here: Fayetteville, Bentonville, Eureka Springs. It's very conservative but there is definitely an "in your face" sector of the rainbow crowd. Our Hispanic population allows for Trump hatred due to ICE. Regardless, it's not a loud political area. We just do our separate things.

I haven't been to NWA but I usually end up at Lake of the Ozarks about once a year. I love that area. Friendly people everywhere you go

I was warned about the Eureka Springs area and all the nice waterfront areas being bought up by the alphabet crews. My friend and his wife were up there and went to a really great restaurant, food was awesome service the whole 9 yards. The last 15 minutes they had to endure some locals sucking face and obnoxious talking. They thought it was so overboard that it was done on purpose.

Got back to Austin yesterday after a full week up there. Ended up mostly having to work but was able to fish on Beaver Lake my last Evening.

Big takeaway from the area is how nice and helpful everyone is. Every store I went in or person I called was nicer and gave better service than Austin.

Not exactly sure on timeline yet but might be before the end of the month. Thinking we're going to rent something for 12 months and if we're as happy as we think we are then buy something and put down some roots

Had a great call with 87Flyfisher yesterday for almost an hour and it made me even more excited to move than I already was! Hopefully should have more info in a couple days.

Congrats! I am waiting to hear back on a final interview for a role in Fayettville but the winter storm set them back a few weeks.

Yeah, the rainbow crowd is in full effect in Eureka unfortunately. It's the only town I can recall seeing Harris/Walz signs all over the place.
OP congrats on your move. NWA is a nice area and one you'll enjoy.

It's typically only that way on some weekends. During the week the town shops and such are still kinda like the old Eureka Springs. Still a strong presence within the community with Christ of the Ozarks and the Passion Play. Surrounding the area are outdoor activities like trail riding, zip lines, Turpentine Creek Wildlife area and Beaver Lake is still a non rainbow area with lots of cabins and lodges.
Wife and I have been going to Eureka Springs since the late 80's. We avoid the times when the rainbow crowd is there and so we still enjoy it for the most part.

Not quite NWA, but my family and I are relocating to Tulsa from Dallas in the next 2-3 months. We are looking forward to exploring NWA, Ozarks, and NE OK.

Have a house under contract in Jenks. Would love to connect with fellow Ags.

Found a house we really like on 4 acres to rent for less than our older 3rd floor 1 bedroom apartment in Austin

And the guy said he'd sell it to me as soon as I have financing lined up if we're happy after moving in and everything

Feel like I'm living in a dream or something I'm so freaking excited!!

Already filled out the rental application and will be talking more with him tomorrow. Shooting for mid March move in.

Welcome! We moved to the Tulsa area (Bixby) five years ago from Houston…We love it here.

My wife was born and raised in midtown, with family all over the area. We love Tulsa, and are moving back without jobs just to get to the area, be closer to family, and take a step back from the rat race of inner-loop Dallas.

Fortunately we both work in highly employable industries, and we're in a position to take some time before jumping back in.

There is a great Aggie state Representative for Arkansas up there. Randy Torres. Think he lives around Siloam Springs. He's '92 or so Aggie from Gonzales? Great guy and great family. If you get up that way, look him up.

We saw Crystal Bridges this weekend! I'm really not that into art/museums that much and my mind was absolutely blown! Place was absolutely incredible.

Saturday was my wife's birthday. We did the museum and then ate at a nice Italian restaurant in the Bentonville square. She said it was the best birthday she's had in years.

NWA is already starting to feel like home. I don't really have any desire to go back to Austin besides grabbing my pets and saying goodbye to some friends and family.

Almost go time!! Just about packed in Austin.

Movers are loading my trailer here Monday and the mover I got in contact with in NWA gave me a super cheap flat rate and said if I could update him and make it by 9 pm he'd have me unloaded so we could sleep in our new spot that night.

Also insuring both of our vehicles going to be close to $300/month cheaper(had to edit I misunderstood what the lady said over the phone lol). New I was going to save some money there but holy **** lol

I ****ing love NWA
