I know you aren't supposed to buy a GF/wife anything that plugs in for birthday/Christmas etc... but I bought one for my GF, now wife, and she said it's the best thing she's ever gotten! She absolutely loves it.

Shark, too. I don't recall the exact model. My only complaint is I swear that thing knows when I'm there and comes directly at me when I'm around.

We have two dogs and a cat and the self emptying one as well. That is a must for dogs/cats. It will get stuck occasionally but we usually use it when we are there so that's no big deal. It will clog, but net-net we love it rather than sweeping/vacuuming on our own.

I had another brand that mopped and it worked ok, but that was over ten years ago.
