Has anyone ever been questioned about this trust business? I don't even know who would ask. Atf? Game warden? Somebody at the shooting range? I can see when you first purchase, and maybe if you tried to sell it, but as far as regular use, I don't see someone 'not on the trust' being caught using a suppressor. But, I am not a range guy, so that is why I am asking.

It is my understanding that only a federal game warden or other fed leo can ask to see your paperwork on your can. Texas Game Wardens have no jurisdiction over suppressors. That being said, if I was ever asked by a TGW, I would probably show it to him anyway. I have never been asked. I have not seen a GW while hunting in probably close to 20 years. Fishing is another story.

I don't hunt normally hunt on Federal lands so I am not to worried about it.

I remember my first suppressor. A Dead Air Nomad .30 cal. I was going to keymo all of my rifles and this would be the only one I would ever need. Now I have 4. For some reason buying suppressors is more addictive than buying guns.
