WC was predicting 10-14 and caught 7 w probs 2 more this morning.

Well, there aren't any lines when there isn't any snow. Strap on some rock skis and bomb it.

Purg has their base and mountain top webcams up and the top has a bit of coating but the base is mostly a dusting that's melting away.

Im at the plant today and it has rained off and on all day. It is a muddy mess on the coal yard in Hayden.

At least our base has SOME snow.

12/5 GFS updated and Big forecasted snow for beginning of December for Telly/Durango/WC.

WC could get 18/24 inches through 12/5. Telly probs 12-18.

GFS is mostly dry for the rest of the state. Couple pockets by Steamboat for 5/6 inches and maybe 4/5 along 70. Probs 1.5x that up at 10,000ft.

UT mostly dry with some moisture in the mountains but nothing major. Tetons getting slammed.

NM should get it's first decent drop on that early december storm.

Overall temps across much of CO and UT will be mild for this time in the season. Highs in the low to mid 30s and lows in the 20s to high teens.

Snow making will be going full speed across the lower Rockies over the next 2+ weeks.

Steamboat looking good. 70 corridor and Aspen should do well too. Theyve been all over on this one so who knows. Feels like SS will get it good. South and SW really dried up.

I got my kids their own helmets through Oakleys military discount program mainly for peace of mind over fit and helmet integrity. You can pull the liner out and they can use them on their bikes, scooters, skateboard - so cost felt justified.

Our kids have had these helmets for 3 seasons. No complaints.

For goggles - you gotta make sure they fit the helmet and don't leave a gaper gap.

Smith Snowday or Dare Devil for goggles. Spy also usually fit Smith great too.

I do the same thing through Smith's discount program. I get both their helmets and goggles from them. Just make sure to get the size right before ordering, they don't take returns on their discount program.

Oh yeah - Don't get a helmet that isn't MIPS.

Booked a quick weekend trip just to keep the 6yr old on the mountain. Insane costs have led me to rethinking our trip this year since the boy, who will be 22 months at the time, forces someone to stay back and watch him.

Last year, For reference, our 6 night stay, 2 days of lessons, 4 days of skiing, buy groceries and drive from Texas trip to winter park ran us about $8k. Lodging in mountain towns has gotten insane.

It led me to justify buying a lot in a neighborhood near Wolf Creek. 1 big ski trip can maybe cover 1/2 a year of a mortgage on a mountain home.
