Playoffs started this week and wife's team is already done because of Gibbs. He kind of makes it no fun.

Season looks over for me! Essentially in a play-in game. Lamb out (thankfully he got some before going out), playing against Gibbs, Dak, and Aubrey. In a huge hole and I don't expect to get boom games out of any of my squad.

She beat me by 13 PF in tiebreaker for final playoff spot. We should've tanked her team (not really) last week because all my team came back from injury and now looks really good.

She's playing the 12-1 1st place team with Gibbs, Taylor, JSN, Adams, and Allen, so not much hope. It is 2 week matchups though so who knows but his team is too stacked I think.

Well, I wouldn't give up so quick because anything can happen, but yeah, it's gonna be tough.

I knew the Cowboys vs Lions game would be a shootout because both teams have great offenses and struggling defenses. The Lions bounce back from a disappointing 31-24 home loss to the Packers with a 44-30 win over the Cowboys to improve to 8-5 and keep up with the 9-3 Bears and 8-3-1 Packers. Consequently, the Lions snapped the Cowboys' 3-game winning streak and dropped them to 6-6-1. Also, the Lions have won 15 consecutive games after losses, and they have not lost consecutive games since losing 5 consecutive games between 9/25/22 to 10/30/22.

I got 18.44 points from Dak Prescott and 37.00 points form Jahymr Gibbs. My opponent got 17.30 points from Jameson Williams and 16.00 points from Jake Bates.

in a 10 team coulda been possible to go Gibbs Taylor Allen JSN Adams but yea that guy had the immaculate draft


say you had a crystal ball to take the best remaining pick each round something like CMC Achane McBride Hurts(?) Pickens would still be tough to even contend with that squad

hell even if you had your choice of the field say CMC Bijan Chase ARSB Mahomes that might only be a tossup matchup

A guy is killing everyone in my 12 team league. I think the 1pt ppr drove WRs up the board sooner. He drafted CMC, JT, Josh Allen, not sure what rounds after but has, Tet, Pickens, D. Adams, Kelce, Swift. Currently 13-0.

well, in a must win to get in final week, I'm already down 37 thanks to Gibbs.

to rub salt in the wound, I drafted #3 overall and took Saquon at his ADP - just wasn't sure about Lamb or Gibbs in the 4/5 ADP spots due to Lamb injuries last year and Gibbs' split with Monty + losing Ben Johnson at OC. Guy who took Gibbs #4 is in first place and was able to take JT just before my second pick.

Me too. I actually was set on doing it, but then I did some research and looked around and literally everybody was taking Chase, so I caved.

the Gibbs-Taylor combo is not uncommon in 10-team leagues non-PPR or half-PPR

Gibbs usually went 4th or 5th

and Taylor was still on the board at #16 or #17

certainly didn't expect his 2025 version of the Colts, either.

I picked 5th in a 12 teamer.....1st round, guy picking 4th took Gibbs (who I wanted...I picked Lamb), then took Henry in the 2nd (I took BT Jr....ouch), and then Taylor in the 3rd right before me (I went Chase Brown).

Amazing what a difference one draft slot can do...

I think it's a ladder system, where if you win you move up and to the right and lose you move down and to the right if you think of it like a 3x3 grid. Basically 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 all play each other and then move accordingly for 3 weeks. Winner of the "top right" game in the last week is the best loser

Then I was thinking I might grab Adanai Mitchell instead, but someone else in my league just grabbed him today and then an hour later Odunze was ruled OUT so I'm even more desperate. Need someone to start this week:

How desperate are you for a win? I'd consider Pearsall for Vele.

locked playoff spot but have an outside shot at season pts payout so swinging for fences, unfortunately in a situation where I'm starting both Pitts and Waller- unless it'd be worth to drop one for Vele/Mitchell/Burden? (or to activate Reed if he plays)

currently leaning towards just leaving them in since they may have not much less chance of a decent game (London out), and the pickup would only be a 1wk rental with Tet/Marvin coming back, while keeping a backup/rotation TE may have more value in playoffs
