Very competitive 12 team league. Four teams are 5-3, three are 4-4, two are 3-5. The top team is 7-1, bottom team is 1-7. I am squarely in the middle. 4-4 record, 6th place.

League scoring is fairly vanilla. Non-PPR with 6 point passing TDs.

I have been trying to flip one of my QBs for a RB but haven't been able to get anyone to bite. Today the top team in the league reached out about Ja'Marr Chase - I hadn't entertained flipping him but am considering it to sure up my depth and round out my roster for a playoff push. Our rosters are below.

His current offer is Dobbins & Odunze for Chase. I tried to counter with Swift, Dobbins, Odunze for Chase + one of my "bench" guys OR Swift/Dobbins + Njigba for Chase but he wasn't interested in either.

I feel like I can get him to agree to Swift + Odunze for Chase.

Both Swift & Odunze have already had their BYE weeks, Chase has not. The Bengals are weirdly still in the playoff hunt so expect Chase to continue to get a lot of targets as long as that is the case and Flacco is healthy - either of which could change suddenly.

maybe this deal helps you.. you need RB help badly and Swift is something... Sounds like the Pats are going to trade for a RB so Rhamondre goes to the curb.

but that guy is going to run away with your league, IMO if he has Jamarr and JSN and still has Jeanty, JK, and Dowdle remaining at RB.

I would not move Ja'Marr unless you are getting JSN or Jeanty.

I am also a Chase owner and 3-5, and I would instantly decline Dobbins and Odunze for Chase; that is a joke.

Yeah, was trying to weaken him at the same time but he has a lot of depth and would be getting the best player (Chase).

He is already separated from the pack so trying to get myself in the spot behind him to have a chance.

I created a bit of a bidding war and was able to upgrade his offer to Ja'Marr for Jeanty + Odunze

I wouldn't do that just yet.

I'd go for Dobbins/Kraft/Odunze.

Dobbins will have more scoring opportunities than either Swift or Jeanty, in my opinion. And, it being standard, that's what matters. Kraft can be flexed.

I get the vikings have looked like trash but the very real possibility of Flacco getting hurt and chase becoming bad is very very real.

(Great patience on your part to wait for this to open up by the way. That isnt easy).

The Flacco dependency was part of my willingness to trade Chase.

I have Lamar, who was back in full form last night , so Maye didn't have much value for me this season. I did draft him in Round 12 so gave up a good keeper option.

It feels like a good buy low on Jefferson with JJ coming back plus he has already had his BYE vs. Chase having his in week 10.

Fingers crossed CMC stays healthy.
