I live in Bryan now, but I quit flying out of Houston years ago. I go through Dallas now. Plus, it's easy to hop the flight from college Station to Dallas before it.

And I grew up in Houston. But it isn't really because of this. It's because it's gotten to be such a ****ty airport.

One of the first safety lessons given to our incoming student nurses:
"If it is wet and not yours, don't touch it without protection"

If something is going to wipe out a good chunk of the world's population, it may as well be FIFA led. There is something poetic about the world's most corrupt organization playing a role in spreading one of the world's most dangerous diseases

So maybe we shouldn't allow Africans in for a moment. Maybe take a breath and see how this Ebola epidemic shakes out. Just a thought...

Side note...
I was shocked to learn that United had dropped their flights out of CS. I used to use that hop when I lived in CS. Even such a short hop to IAH, it was still faster and overall more time efficient to depart Easterwood than to drive to IAH, park, and get checked in and to the gate. I would wind up on the same flight out of Houston and leave the house later to get an earlier flight out of CS.

I realized it was gone when I was looking at possibly having to fly when the TSA lines were such disasters a few months ago.

I agree we shouldn't let any more Africans in but ebola has nothing to do with it.

I remember in the 80s and 90s, there was a sign posted near the security lines at IAH, that said, "The following cities are unsafe for travel:"

And the list…….Lagos, Nigeria. That's it. Haha, the only unsafe place in the world according to that sign, for a couple of decades.
