We are flying out in a couple weeks. World Cup traffic + Ebola really has the wife nervous.

What does porta poties have to do with limiting points of entry from those three to four affected countries?

From what I have read on Ebola, you two do not want to be burying the dead bodies of Ebola victims and you need to wear PPE if anyone you are being intimately close to has hemorrhagic fever and oozing from all orifices.

Maybe people shouldn't be hanging around Argentine landfills contracting hantavirus and then taking cruises and visiting ****hole countries where you can get Ebola.

Quarantine where you are at. Don't let them back in the country.

WC is June 11 through July 19. We have planned no travel in the USA during this time period. Will be staying at home.

Saw a report that NYC is scared ****less of this and healthcare community is bracing for the worst with all of the incoming diseases and illnesses we are bound to get.

The health care community is not panicking… they have a full born grade AAA lasting 4 hours or more hard as a rock boner over the idea of an Ebola outbreak. They a mainlining pandemic armageddon shows and Neil Diamond songs as we speak.

If you don't use them, let me know as we need them to LBP and asbestos mitigation.

Why would they not always be on alert? We have propel traveling here from all over the world on the daily.

Going to be honest, feels like folks just want a story more than anything to be concerned about.

Your chances of catching a deadly disease from travel will not be measurably higher during the World Cup.

But as others have indicated if it makes you nervous then hang out locally and travel with the Congolese have returned to harvesting bush meat.

To add: you example makes you projection even worse; we get, Orange Man and anyone who works for him automatically Bad and worse corrupters evah!!

100% positive. It doesn't spread through small aerosol particles that float in the air and get inhaled across a room, like flu or covid. If someone coughed and you touched a droplet that fell on the seat and rubbed your eye, you could potentially be infected.

No. American citizens always have the protection and service of the United States government when traveling abroad.

Don't **** with that.

I think the joke may have flown over your head…

Yes, airborne Ebola would be bad. Donald Sutherland, Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman have shown us this (Ebola like not Ebola).

Is there some history I'm missing of there being massive outbreaks after the WC or Olympics occur in the host country?!?

There is a first time for everything.

In reality, it's just convenient for us. We just moved so have no need to go anywhere soon. And avoiding travel when a bunch of overseas travelers all arrive at the same time is simply risk management, however low that risk might be.

Mask up, follow the taped arrows in your local grocery store, and if you see anyone actively leaking their liquified organs from their nipples, maybe give them an extra 5' of space.

We should definitely let more Africans in right in time for WC.

Quote:

The fast-spreading Ebola virus is overwhelming creaking hospitals and clinics in the Democratic Republic of Congo, dimming hopes for quick containment of what is already the third-largest outbreak of the killer disease in history.

With at least 750 suspected cases and an official death count of 177 as of this weekendthe actual toll is likely higherpatients are being treated in ordinary wards because of a lack of dedicated Ebola treatment centers in the hardest-hit areas, according to the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

And it has spread to Uganda where US Democrats seem to frequently travel for some reason....

Quote:

In addition to the surging cases in Congo, Uganda has reported five Ebola patients, one of whom has died.

He did say it was his wife, Karen, who was the worried one.

Kidding reineraggie09! I hear where you were coming from and you already explained, but the setup was there and my resistance is low this morning.

Indy 500 this weekend has 350,000 people in one location. Do we know if Congolese big Indy car fans? May not need to wait on FIFA.

To be honest, I am all medical screening for international movement. Why do it for dogs and goats and not humans?

No. And nobody is scared ****less. This is just TexAgs echo chamber.

This is a current flight map of the US. The World Cup is but a pimple on a nats ass of global movement. Doesn't even register.

By "health care community" do you mean Democrats? We do have upcoming important elections you know.

Also, where is ratface McFauci these days? Someone should keep an eye on that guy.
