Years ago, I learned to not care about indiscretions from a politician that was very effective in his job. So, libs, spare me the moral outrage. I think you are mixing cases. Are you doing so on purpose?

There was one case where the whistleblowers said that Paxton forced them to "do something bad".

There was another case where the whistleblowers filed suit because Paxton fired them.

Do you realize that these are separate cases, and involve separate sets of facts?

Quite possible that he broke the whistleblower laws even if the whistleblowers brought the case in bad faith. The veracity of the original claim doesn't impact their protection from retaliation.

If you want to make the case that he never should have retaliated, even if the whistleblowers were FOS, that is a different argument. It's a valid argument, but, its not the same one that you are trying to make.
