There's nothing wrong with that. And, Dems operated CFPB which distributed confiscated funds to leftist groups for many years, much less legitimately. Guys like John Strand deserve to be compensated (and hopefully elected to congress).

The Biden (*) cabal, including Wray/Garland and the DC judiciary loudly and proudly created this backlash and I support the renumeration involved.

Quote:

In 2022, the DOJ offered John Strand a plea deal. One misdemeanor; a wrist slap. His co-defendant took a similar deal and got 60 days. All he had to do was say he was guilty of something he believed he wasn't guilty of.

He said no... twice.

He went to trial. A D.C. jury convicted him on all five counts, including a felony carrying up to 20 years. He was sentenced to 32 months in federal prison. He spent four months in solitary confinement ... punished, in part, for helping other J6 defendants get outside support and for speaking publicly about conditions inside.

Then the Supreme Court ruled in Fischer v. United States that the obstruction statute used against him was wrongly applied. He was released, and on January 20, 2025, he was fully pardoned.

He could have taken the deal; almost everyone did. He looked at the easy road and the hard road and he chose the hard road because he believed it was the truthful one. That is a man whose faith is not decorative.

I've met and talked to John. He gets it. He understands what it means when the machinery of the state is aimed at you personally... not in theory, but in a SWAT team at your door and a concrete box they put you in for months. That kind of experience either breaks a person or clarifies them. John came out clarified.

So in conclusion, Trump sued himself three times, his own lawyer (Todd Blanch) settled the claims, taxpayers appear to be paying it, his hand picked commission selects who collects. And the money can flow to January 6 rioters. So it's being sold as fixing weaponization but it is, in fact, weaponization.

Just wait to see the reaction on Texags when the Dems do a similar situation under the next Dem President to settle lawsuits being brought by the Trump
Administration. It will start with this time is (D)ifferent when in reality they are using the same playbook to hand money to their supporters.

The Dems have been doing this for decades. Intentionally getting the government sued by NGO in select venues then settlements are made with big payouts to leftist causes

Honestly, you have to be a mindless cult follower to believe any of this is good for America. If only this wasn't so ****ing predictable.

I thought the last thing Trump was falsely accused of doing was the most openly corrupt thing ever done in American history which was just in the heels of the other last most openly corrupt thing.

You libs lost, lost hard. Elections have consequences.

Only cultists keep believing every lie about Trump is the most openly corrupt thing in American history… which's they seem to fall for 2-3 times per week.

Middle class don't really pay much in taxes. They are moochers for the most part.

You can disagree with this as I think it's stupid by the middle class isn't close to paying their fair share so no reason to lie to try to prove your point.

If I recall, the information released concerning President Trump's tax returns seem to suggest he did not pay any income tax. As a very middle, middle class tax payer I resent your implication.

I didn't pay income tax for 7 years. I paid all of those years taxes last month in a number that would make your adding machine melt.

I have a CPA license and it would still take me days to explain my tax returns to someone.

Trumps are slightly more complex than mine, but you think a leaked return gives to a good indication of someone's taxes?

Poor people manage the taxes on an annual basis. Successful people manage their taxes across years. Really successful people manage their taxes across decades.

Seems like you simply hate / are jealous of successful people.

I'm so old, I remember a Biden political appointee on video bragging about tossing gold bars off the titanic ahead of inauguration day in January 2025, to leftist groups including a brand new one set up by/for Stacey Abrams.
Over $20 billion, or more than 10 times this settlement amount.

They are still in court trying to get those funds released I think. Though Carter was a worse person/president imho, no one can hold a candle to the Biden familia corruption.

Libs are kittens suffering meth withdrawals trying desperately to keep chasing the laser across the floor whilst they slip in the foam dripping from their mouth.

Trump has then running scared on so many fronts I am considering some modicum of sympathy for them. But then I am reminded with posts like yours that they shall be shown no quarter!

Especially when they get sanctimonious about ethics. I think it is absolutely hilarious to laugh with no mercy.

This past week alone it's been Obama complaining about 'weaponizing the DoJ,' 'Trump is corrupt with a slush fund and insider trading,' to 'Republicans are racist to so quickly eliminate racist maps and elect black republicans, Jim Crow 2.0.'

At this point I'm just waiting for a lecture from GCF Hillary about how Trump isn't doing enough to protect our soldiers/sailors abroad in dangerous places if an embassy/consulate comes under attack.

Forgive me. I wasn't aware that you were the one who determines what a fair share of income tax should be. I am only guided by the information the IRS provides to calculate my taxes.

I agree with all written above. However, I offer a caveat.

Based upon what happened the other time that Trump was out of office and the progressives were in charge, Trump had to raise billions and spend billions to defend himself and protect his assets (like Trump Tower and etc). The people in Trumpworld will face a more fierce retaliation in 2028 when the Democrats regain power. If I were in Trumpworld today, particularly if I was Trump or his immediate family, I'd be gathering as much money as I could and buying gold bars with it. All involved in this administration are going to have to defend themselves with bodyguards and lawyers for the rest of their lives. Wouldn't you do the same to finance your own survival in the post-Trump Democrat-controlled dystopian future?

With that said, the necessity to defend one's self post-office is Banana Republic level B.S.

Classy, as always.

It's certainly not 'just' Trump allies who have access to apply for these funds/compensation, but Hunter Biden, native Americans, and others who Biden administration officials went after, including russiagate testimony that was subpoena'd by the pathetic 'independent council' Mueller etc. teams (including staffers who had tens of thousands in legal fees to prepare for depositions).

What Biden-Garland et al. writ large did was inexcusable, and viewing it through purely a "Trump lens" is myopic at best, imho, though I think castigating such a position using homo-erotic metaphors is pretty pathetic.

I also believe there will be more prairie dogs of corruption during the next Democrat administration and everyone on TexAgs and X who doesn't post nice things will be charged with an act of rebellion and arrested.

At least Trump isn't arresting us like Starmer is in the UK. "In 2023, police in England and Wales made 12,183 arrests under laws targeting offensive or malicious online communications (including many social media posts)."

Some of you kids have either too much imagination or read to many sad books.

These DOJ actions are sending a message. Do NOT weaponize the DOJ on your political opponents.

Next up is the judiciary. Trump is just getting the FO tour started.

Libs were warned what the consequences would be. They were warned to cut it out, disarm, discuss.

Then they tried to kill him and keep trying. Trump is fixing things. This is just more of that.

You're not addressing the fierce reaction to this when Democrats return to power. There's going to be a lot more FO than FA when they do. I am not sure there's a strategy behind all of these prairie dogs emerging from under the dirt other than money for self preservation of the members of Trumpworld when the Democrats begin their FO operation.

In response to the actual most corrupt things ever done to a man, his family, his companies, his trusts, his friends.

The astonishment should have occurred for you when they went after him.

If you are just now astonished, you are complicit.
