Do not be afraid….Given 366 times, according to my daily devotional.

I would question whether that is verbatim and always a command. For instance, an angel appearing and saying "fear not".

and speaking of commands, Jesus says "if you love me, you will keep my commands. "

Many who cry "Lord, Lord" will not enter the kingdom, but those who do the will of His Father.

The "sinners prayer" is a good starting point for some, but more is demanded by Christ. See the young man in the Gospel who asks Christ what he must do to be saved.

This is all according to the google and I am not about to spend a month fact checking, but google calls it more or less a myth and that a combination of "no fear" and "do not be afraid" or "do not be anxious" can total up to over 300 occurrences.

Interestingly enough (albeit according to google), the Bible mentions the "fear of God" or "fear of the Lord" over 300 times.

It's remarkable how much fear leads to sin and separation from Holy God.

I'm looking into myself right now to find those fears that are deep down inside me. Those that I might even consciously know exist.

Sure. Just curious where that, age of accountability, and altar calls originated from. Not from Scripture to my knowledge.

Which do we "develop" first? I know we are conceived in sin but do we consciously know enough to sin in the womb and for much of our early life.

I do know we fear separation from our mother. We may be hungry or wet and fear those things will persist.

I'm not a theologian or doctor. Just things I question.

That wasn't a "google" reference from me, only restating what I learned from Tara Leigh Cobble's, The Bible Recap.

I think if God appeared to you anytime, you would tremble with fear, fall face down in shame, etc. Hence the reason He comes into one's presence in scripture, He immediately says, "do not be afraid".
It's a reminder that He comes in peace and with love, but also it's a reminder that we are not worth to be in His presence.

After what happened to Charlie Kirk today, this seems so so coincidental that it's a sign from god. Be not afraid. The time of Christian martyrs is here in America. We must be strong in our faith now more than ever.

Angels apparently are quite powerfully intimidating.
