Be not afraid.
That was in my devotional today. Made my day.

It is behind a paywall. Sorry.

I would question whether that is verbatim and always a command. For instance, an angel appearing and saying "fear not".
and speaking of commands, Jesus says "if you love me, you will keep my commands. "
Many who cry "Lord, Lord" will not enter the kingdom, but those who do the will of His Father.
The "sinners prayer" is a good starting point for some, but more is demanded by Christ. See the young man in the Gospel who asks Christ what he must do to be saved.

Ok, so?
Do you ever pray from your heart and use your own words, not in the Bible?

With all due respect, I do not find the "sinner's prayer" in Scripture.

I would say that sin leads to fear and separation

This is all according to the google and I am not about to spend a month fact checking, but google calls it more or less a myth and that a combination of "no fear" and "do not be afraid" or "do not be anxious" can total up to over 300 occurrences.
Interestingly enough (albeit according to google), the Bible mentions the "fear of God" or "fear of the Lord" over 300 times.
ETA....my takeaway
Don't fear man, fear God
