I seriously know NOTHING about this one. Hardly anyone does. At least nothing from the inside - only what everyone else has read on the internet. A friend of mine is Bruckheimer's creative exec and he was sitting next to me opening night of Transformers when the trailer debuted. He looked over when it was over and goes "What the hell was that?!" This is a guy who sees EVERYTHING come across his desk and knows what's going down months in advance for any big name project. Considering he works for arguably the biggest producer in the business, when even someone like that doesn't know jack squat about something like this, you know it's top secret. They've done an amazing job of staying under the radar for this long.

In two weeks I'll be going to Comic-Con in San Diego with my writing partner who works for the guys who wrote Transformers. They also just finished writing the latest Star Trek revamp and will be doing a panel there with J.J. Abrams (who's directing). I imagine I'll get a chance to hang with them a bit, so I'll see if I can get any info then.

By the way, I just reread my post and sorry if I came off like a name-dropping ******. Was just trying to give a little validity to the fact that no one knows anything, but that I may have something soon.

TCTTS- I'm sure this has been mentioned here before, but I was just curious- what do you do in Hollywood? What have you worked on we would know of? I remember you having been on the Heroes set, but that is the only thing I can recall.

I'm actually a production coordinator for high-end fashion photography shoots. Crap like GQ, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, etc. It's pretty cheesy stuff, but it's great because I work shoot to shoot, like anywhere from 4 to 12 days in a row or something like that, then I'll have off a week or so to write (which is why I moved out here). And I get to work with celebs and hang out with models, so it's definitely nothing to complain about either. By no means do I want to make a career of it, though. It's just something to pay the bills while I give the writing thing a shot.

I used to intern and then work over at Sony, plus a lot of my good friends work in film, so that's where most of my "connections" come from. I'm writing a script with a guy over at DreamWorks and I'd say we're about 3/4 of the way done. So once we're finished with that we'll go out with it and see what happens. So yeah, I'm definitely not some Hollywood exec on the scene or anything like that. I'm just on the computer so much writing that I frequent the boards when I need a little break here and there.

do you know if they are going to release any new star trek info at comicon this year? i think they broke out the poster there last year right?

Yeah, Bob & Alex (the writers) and J.J. Abrams (the director) will be doing a Q&A panel I think on that first Thursday. And you didn't hear this from me, but they're MOST LIKELY using the panel to make casting announcements as well.

You are right...I misread...however, they have not all been put up in order. The first one posted was the 12:36am pic which was followed by the 12:01am pic. The last 2 have been in order.

If it is the true name of the movie, I think we can expect something along the lines of 24...but cut down to 2 hours.....

Abrams hasn't exactly done anything so incredibly profound (I'll admit I liked Season 1 of Lost, but it definitely lost a lot of steam after that), and he's not even directing the thing.
