With the weather forecast not being conducive to outdoor activities this weekend, I figure to spend a lot of time watching WWII movies or series. I had some time tonight with my wife working late, so I queued up Tom Hanks' wonderful take on the Battle of the NorthAtlantic,2020's Greyhound. It was short enough to fit into my available time tonight, and I am glad I rediscovered this one. What an incredible depiction of the role of destroyers escorting merchant shipping with the U-boots hunting them. Very tense movie with very little fluff, a little bit at the beginning with his wife and then right into the action.
I am feeling some Band of Brothers and The Pacific for the weekend, although I will have to pick one to go with given how long each of those are.
