Regarding TLJ, if I recall correctly there was a massive cleanup by RT to remove a bunch of troll voting. But I could be wrong on that.....

TLJ is 91 to 41.

Audience scores for both those are more reflective of reality than critic scores.

Yes it's 41 or 43 now, I do seem to remember it being super super low at one point.

Agree. I don't think BP was "meh" because of any messaging. I simply thought it was boring with no real character growth for our main character. Especially when you compare his character arc in Civil War, which I thought was a fantastic character arc for BP. I completely understand why the character, and therefore the movie, is so important for many out there.

I would rather watch BP 5 times, back to back, than watch TLJ another time.

I saw a clip on instagram talking about the Wall of Honor at the Academy. Harry Kim is listed as an Admiral.

Well, I managed to watch the whole first 2 episodes. I wouldn't call it horrible. Its definitely for a different audience than traditional Trek, but that's not always a bad thing. Not sure Holly Hunter's hippie vibe really works here, but I do like her as an actor in general so I can look the other way there. The Klingon will definitely end up gay. Surprised they didn't go the pronoun route with the hologram girl - props for them not going there (at least so far).

I'll continue to watch and see if it grows on me or not. The first couple episodes of any new series is always a crap shoot - sometimes everyone gels after working together and comes together as a cast, sometimes they don't.
