Our family watches this movie every December. Chevy Chase is currently doing a tour where you watch the movie and then he does a Q&A. He answered questions and gave behind the scenes information for 75 minutes. It was a really neat experience for us.

Wow, that sounds cool. I wouldn't have expected that from him. I've always heard he's an ass and doesn't interact well with fans.

We watch the movie every Christmas as well.

Saw CV at the Manor East theater in Bryan, my senior year at A&M. I have watched CV every year since at Christmas, including already having watched it this year.

Such a quotable movie.

The woman at the counter that is Clark's fantasy girl is now 71 years old and the best looking 71 year old on the planet.

Cousin Eddie: "Yeah, I got the daughter in the clinic, getting cured off the Wild Turkey. And, the older boy, bless his soul, is preparing for his career."
Clark: "College?"
Cousin Eddie: "Carnival. Last season he was a pixie-dust spreader on the Tilt-O-Whirl. He thinks that maybe next year, he'll be guessing people's weight or barking for the Yak woman".

"I don't KNOW, Margo!"

Definitely the most quoted line in our house year round!

MacCauley Culkin did this too with Home Alone, but i think the run just ended

Chase stated That it's a Wonderful Life is his favorite Christmas movie so he asked that the line be incorporated because Jimmy Stewart says it

I was fearful of that as well after hearing his reputation. The rumor is he's become a little softer over the years, and many say he's a bit more grateful. A documentary is being released about him in January called "I'm Chevy Chase and you're not"
Appears comparable to the John Candy one

My personal favorites, but there are SO MANY other quotable lines:

"It's the gift that keeps on giving all year long"

"Take it away, Russ!…..Fa La La La La, La La, La, La!"

"I have to eat so I can take my back pill"

"Where are you going to put that?" "Bend over and I'll show ya!"

Derail but seems he's been more active on social media/podcasts lately. Funny hearing him talk about his kids loving the movie, but not knowing it's him.....yet they're slowly starting to get closer to realization.

I think he's probably just hard up for money. He supposedly got kicked off Community for basically being a jackass and incredibly hard to work with. It takes a special ***hole to ruin a career AND a second chance comeback.

I did this with High Fidelity and John Cusack. It was pretty cool and he was interesting. You could tell some of the fans weirded him out a little with all their John Cusack movie trivia knowledge. Real trivial stuff.

You left out the best part where Todd says "how dare you talk to me that way" and Clark replies "I wasn't talking to you."

100% relate to that scene now.

When I was a kid I loved this movie because Chevy Chase reminded me of my Dad a lot...now I also love it because Chevy Chase reminds me of myself!!!!!

I think Randy Quaid was just as funny as Chevy Chase. Their scenes together are pure gold. Couple of the lines that always crack me up -

"He's got a little bit a Mississippi leg hound in him. If the mood catches him right, he'll grab your leg and just go to town. You don't want him around if you're wearing short pants, if you know what I mean. Word of warning though, if he does lay into ya, it's best to just let 'im finish."

"That somethin' ain't it? She falls down a well, her eyes go crossed. She gets kicked by a mule. They go back to normal. I don't know."

"Don't go puttin' none of that stuff on my sled, Clark. You know that metal plate in my head? I had to have it replaced, cause every time Catherine revved up the microwave I'd piss my pants and forget who I was for a half hour or so."

I don't know how Chevy Chase kept it together in the scene outside when Eddie and family crashed the lighting ceremony, or that next scene in the house with Eddie and Clark in the living room by the Christmas tree. It looks like Randy Quaid is just ad libbing and just keeps going deeper and deeper. I keep hoping there is a long lost reel of film somewhere that eventually gets found and released. I bet there are some hilarious outtakes of those scenes. One of the funniest, most quotable movies ever made.

Chase mentioned that scene, said he had no idea Randy was going to keep throwing 50 pound bags of feed into the cart so walking through Walmart he grabbed light bulbs to throw in whine they were filming and BAM
