After listening to it on audible books, this maybe the best book Jack has written. I definitely want to see this made into a series. Tom Reece is one bad mofo! I can't wait for the next book! Jack is maybe my favorite author. I definitely recommend this book!

I doubt anybody here is going to argue with you, so you don't have to defiantly recommend it.

I just picked up one of the "Shot Through" signed copies he does and can't wait to read it! (He sells limited edition signed copies where he shoots the signature pages with a sniper rifle to generate business for independent book sellers. They are really cool!)

He's probably my favorite author going right now.

Carr said on Joe Rogan podcast that he's pitched the book to Amazon as a movie.

It needs to be series. Too much meat for a movie

Read up on the guys much of the events were modeled after like John Stryker Meyer - who completed a cutaway from a helo extract and did fall through the jungle canopy and continue to fight.

Is it better than the last one, Red Sky Mourning? I've really enjoyed most of them but thought it was a letdown compared to all the others. Relied way too much on AI, supercomputing, and "Alice."

Yeah, Alice started as an interesting novelty, then she became the whole thing.

I have read all of Carr's books and think this is his best. The research he did is meticulous and it combines actual history with fictional characters and story lines. I like the James Reece character too but after a while, his antics became way too unrealistic. This one about his dad Tom Reece reads like something that could have actually happened during Vietnam war. Hope he writes more books in this series

Hopefully he writes 2-3 more books with Tom Reece before he gets back to the James Storyline

Oh, cool. I didn't catch that this one is about his dad.

It's as good as it gets. Very well written book . Carr is in peak form.

I've read/listened to all of Jack Carr's books. I really enjoyed The Terminal List. Cry Havoc is the very best of all of them. Although I know the basic results of Tom's story, it is still a really enjoyable read. Hopefully there will be more AND a series on Grandpa Reece in WWII!
