so is this really, really happening? I loved the show, but thought it ended pretty perfectly

Summer 2026 release

" Ted (Sudeikis) returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team.

In two of the images, Ted is joined by a new assistant coach alongside returning Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt). She is played by new cast member Tanya Reynolds.

‘TED LASSO’ star Cristo Fernandez has been training with an American pro soccer team.

The club are expected to make a decision on a professional contract for him this week.

Wonder if this means he's not able to shoot for the show if he makes the team.

Saw this yesterday and my immediate thought was someone was getting creative in the Ted Lasso marketing department. Bring attention to the show by having one of the players actually try out for a pro soccer team. Seems pretty smart if true. Then again I had just taken an edible when this thought came to me… maybe he did just try out.

Love that he's coaching the women's Richmond team so we can still get interaction with the men's side.

I am very skeptical that the slide in quality will reverse. The best thing they could do is limit the episodes to 30 minutes. So much bloat the last couple of seasons.
