I don't know about dreaming, but a lot sure seems to have happened in a short period of time, while she was sleeping. The woman at the gas station in Buffalo said it was 15 miles to Sheridan and from there the train was the best option. Also, the husband didn't make it very far once he got out of the car - maybe 50 feet?

I thought they were from Chicago and knew how to handle cold weather.

Strange turn from happy car excursion to WTF.

Are we having a Bobby Ewing moment where the entire season will be a dream? That would be crazy

Jack should have stayed put Great move

Teonna didn't seem to have much of a dramatic physical reaction when she picked up the fiery chunks to take down the priest. I know adrenaline can have a dampening effect on pain but still...that's a pretty terrible pain to endure without a more intense reaction.

I guess we'll see next week if they acknowledge the severity of her injuries.

So did the Chicago couple have a death wish or were they truly that ignorant? And Jack dying..... so unceremoniously. What a waste
Im looking for Ray Finkle.... and a clean pair of shorts. Im just a very big Finkle fan. This is my Graceland, sir.

I've had enough of Timothy Dalton's character's deviancy. There's no point to it. None. Disgusting.

Agreed. Between this and Landman sexualizing a 17 year old, I'm losing my patience with Taylor Sheridan

Every single episode has a 5-10 minute scene. We just fast forward through them. It genuinely adds nothing to the snow. We know he's a terrible person, why do you have to show some 50 Shades of Grey BDSM sex scenes to prove it?

They ruin the show.

Best line in this week's episode was the sheriff to Jacob Dutton, "I need you sitting in a bar like I need a doctor picking at my hemorrhoid with a fish hook."

To be fair, that 17 year old is actually almost 30 in real life.

What didn't the MAN at the gas station tell the MAN driving the car that he was not going to make it.

All the truly good characters die. Again. If you're not at least a little evil in this series, you're not gonna make it.

Zero practical sense she should survive while the other two died.

I think her dreaming it would be even dumber.

I'm shocked the Griswolds didn't make it to Wally World in the family Packard. Who could have predicted weather would have been an issue?

My wife got bingo before I did:

The floorboard was supposed to be warmer. But I am not sure if it was that much warmer.

The wife said something earlier about it being warmer near the floorboards - doesn't make sense, but maybe that's how they explain her surviving.

Did it look like a raised train track covered with snow right where the car was sitting? Looked like it to me, especially as they panned out for the wide shot.

The brain does weird stuff when you are dying from hypothermia. There is a known condition called paradoxical stripping that occurs when near death from freezing.

Snip from AI:

Paradoxical stripping, also known as paradoxical undressing, is a phenomenon observed in victims of severe hypothermia. It occurs when individuals, in the final stages of hypothermia, begin to remove their clothing despite the extreme cold. This behavior is counterintuitive and accelerates heat loss, often leading to death136.
Causes
The phenomenon is attributed to physiological and neurological changes:
  • Vasodilation: During prolonged hypothermia, the body's vasoconstriction mechanism (which conserves heat by restricting blood flow to extremities) fails. This causes sudden vasodilation, sending warm blood to the extremities and creating a sensation of intense heat, prompting the person to undress246.
  • Neurological confusion: Severe hypothermia can impair brain function, leading to disorientation and irrational behaviors such as undressing6.
Associated Behaviors
Paradoxical undressing often precedes another phenomenon called terminal burrowing. In this stage, victims instinctively seek shelter in confined spaces like under furniture or foliage, resembling animal hibernation behavior. This may be an autonomous survival response triggered by the brainstem356.
Implications
  • Misinterpretation: Victims found naked or in enclosed spaces are sometimes mistakenly believed to be crime victims due to their state of undress and location36.
  • Occurrence: Paradoxical undressing is reported in approximately 25% of fatal hypothermia cases and is more common in environments with slow temperature drops56.
Understanding this phenomenon is critical for medical professionals, rescuers, and investigators to correctly identify hypothermia-related deaths.

Does this series conclude with two seasons? It feels like they are stretching it to three.

I'm still enjoying it but it's definitely taken a turn towards "Yellowstone" and away from 1923 season 1 in the soap opera category.

Besides some of the other things mentioned, the priest situation was just weird writing. He can't stay with the cop because the cop is a murderer. So he murders him. Then he murders Teonna's
father and is set to execute Teonna. Dude is a straight up serial killer.
Sheridan is just getting rid of characters at this point in order to wrap up the series.

I was shocked at his death - after all the drama with him and his wife. When the guy shot him the first time, I thought he would survive after some suffering. But after the second shot - "what a stupid way to die."

I was wondering what new disaster is going to befall this gal. But I don't think these people are nefarious, given how they reacted to the rape. But as said above, there doesn't seem to be anyone in this series that does not possess a dark side.
She got beat up, not raped.
Well that's not how I interpreted that dude sticking his hand up her dress. May not have been rape with a his private parts, but I've seen plenty of people describe what he did as rape. If that term is not what you'd expect, then call it unwanted touching.
He was looking for hidden money.
I'm guess you are referring to the thief in the train station bathroom that robbed her? Different than the guy on the train who was clearly sexually assaulting her by forcing his hand on his junk and then finger banged her. Definitely rape.
I was referring to the train station bathroom guy. Haven't seen the guy on the train yet - not sure I really want to.

Same...it was pretty damn pornographic. Wanted my wife to watch this show with me, but glad she isn't, with these recurring sex/torture scenes. We are not prudes, but this crosses lines...I get what they are trying to do, but it doesn't have to be this graphic. I was actually slightly nervous that she would walk though the living room during this scene and ask me wtf I was watching.

I recommended this show to my parents, but glad they are not watching.

I like a lot of Taylor Sheradin's work, but he needs to scale back the testosterone and HGH if it's going to perv up his work like this.

Why does Dalton's character get Dutton's land if he pays his property taxes? Can I just go pay someone's taxes and get their land? As I understand it, Dutton's taxes haven't come due yet.

In Texas, simply paying someone else's delinquent property taxes does not grant legal ownership. The only way to obtain ownership through unpaid property taxes is by acquiring a tax deed at a Texas tax foreclosure sale.

So not sure back in the 1920's what Montana laws were then.

Have we seen the last of Mamie Fossett? I was hoping she would be more of the story moving forward. Maybe as backup for Spencer at the train, etc. But looks like she has exited the horror flick.
