  • Slept decent, awake early.
  • Dog was whining at 6:18 on hubs side. Finally got her to come to my side, gave her some pets, and she went back to sleep.
  • Now up getting started working. About to send 40+ emails.
  • Having an Alani, first one ever. I'm out of diet coke and daughter got this from someone awhile back. It's pretty good but but I don't need yet another expensive addiction.
  • Travel work all day except when I work the concession stand at 2PM.
Make today a great day.

I was driving cross country this time last year and finished the long leg from Fruita/Grand Junction CO to Amarillo where I stopped overnight and it hailed.

Fun night last night seeing high school classmates. We got loud enough for my watch to tell me to get hearing protection a couple of times.

Barely sat down the entire night. Quite a few of my classmates were sloshed by the end and needed rides home. I warned people entering the establishments that it had been taken over by old people.

The daughter of a longtime friend and neighbor was bartending last night. It was good to catch up with her. That friend passed a few years ago and I had spent time with the daughter at the hospital and then at the funeral and it was good to see her in a more happy setting. We are having an In Memorium tonight for lost classmates and I told her that her mom would be included. She was glad to hear that.

Didn't eat my second meal of the day until after midnight. I'm not 20 anymore and my body doesn't like me tweaking the schedule!

Official reunion stuff tonight. A classmate and his band are playing. He threatened to pull me onstage to sing some songs. Let's hope it doesn't come to that. I'm hoarse from having to talk loudly to visit last night.

Several classmates have not aged a day. Good for them!

What a weekend!

I'm so sick of moving. This is my LAST MOVE!

We bought a house in central Plano and love it but we can't move in until 6/15.

Our lease in McKinney isn't up until 5/31, but since we aren't buying it, the landlord wants to sell it ASAP and they asked if we could be out by 5/23 as a favor. I'm such a nice guy, I agreed. So instead of asking for more time, we for less. LOL! They are paying for our Airbnb, storage and moving but I'm exhausted.

At first I said we'd do it if they sent us to Hawaii for 2 weeks and they agreed. Then I remembered with have these stupid things called dogs.

At least schools over! Wahoo summer!

Currently cloudy and 74F after a low of 58F this morning. Windows have been open for a few days, but it's getting humid inside/outside. Am fighting the urge to close the windows and run the air.

Benny is currently in some online Minecraft tournament, and I'm under orders not to bother him from noon to 4. Watching the SEC baseball tournament while he does that. We played *horribly* last night. Pretty sure we've played our way out of being a top 8 national seed.

My family is attempting to sell land in Hardin County. Out of the blue, the title company asked my sister about a lawsuit our maternal grandfather filed against a squatter in 1979. My sister was 11 at that time and knew nothing about it, so she asked me. I was seven. I had no idea. How could this possibly matter?!?

I'm an extrovert anyway so last night was a lot of fun. It's so good to see everybody. A few people just have not aged. They are stuck in a time warp of some sort.

Picked up a taco at Phat Boyz in Richwood. Used to be Mendoza's. IYKYK

Stopped for an iced tea and an electrolyte drink at the first Buc-ee's location. Dang it, Beaver, why don't you sell Gatorade or Powerade? Can I trust an electrolyte drink made in Mexico?

I'm the *complete* opposite. I'm a strong introvert (ISFJ). I didn't really like most of the kids in my high school class... at least not the ones who mattered. A lot of stuck up doctor's and lawyer's kids. I thought they were worthless then, and Facebook has convinced me that most of them still are.

We had our 35 year reunion last fall. To buy into all of the events was something like $600. They were in a float at the homecoming parade, presented at halftime of the football game, etc. And hit up for $$$ all the while (Catholic school). I skipped.

I've stayed in touch with my best friends from high school, and don't need a reunion to see them. We're getting together somewhere in August. Perhaps Branson?!?

The idea is to get really high in Branson go to some shows. My friends live in Texas and don't ever partake. Pot is legal here in Missouri, and it was a favorite of ours back in college. We get together every 5 or 6 years and pretend we aren't old men.

I know *nothing* about Branson, but I'm hoping there's something akin to the Strip, and we can get a balcony with a view of it.

-I'm in Seattle for a few days and it's been pretty nice so far. I was pleasantly surprised by the space needle. It was a lot more fun than I expected.

-Museum of Pop Culture was also top notch

-Spent way too much money at Sub Pop Records

-Had a Seattle Dog for lunch, dinner at some seafood place on the water tonight

-Have fun out there folks!

So a 3 hour concession stand shift turned into a 6 hour shift thanks to the rain delay.

Mama is pooped. And I got lots of travel work to do.

What should have been about 9+ hours of travel work today will be about 4-5 hours today.

Of course, I asked her about the Austin City Mayor who refused to send their Search and Recovery Team to assist two days prior to the floods (sound of crickets).
