At the Rec Center this morning I hit the treadmill for 30 minutes. Only treadmill open is on the end under a big fan. As I start running, I reach up and turn the fan to low. Older guy next to me says, "Guess you don't like that fan on high do you?" I reply, "No, too strong" ( I hate fans at the gym and this one has like 20 of them ) He says, a bit confrontationly, "Well I do!" Geez, I'm just there for a quick workout so I say, "tell you what, when I'm finished, I'll turn the fan back up for you, unless you'd like to trade treadmills" he replays, "I'd do that, but I don't like that fan blowing on me"

I ran my 30 minutes and didn't say another word.

Always fun at the rec…

I turned on a fan at our gym the other day. Old guy said it was blowing hard. "I'm trying to get my sweat on." I turned it down a little.

I initially read the thread title as

Sharting your day at the Rec Center...not a big fan

And I thought to myself, "Damn that sounds really ****ty"

I have analyzed this matter and have come to the conclusion that the problem wasn't with the OP wanting the fan turned down, nor was it with the guy on the next treadmill who wanted the fan on high, in fact it wasn't even with the fan itself. The issue was being at the Rec Center early in the morning.
