It is barely Wednesday, but let's make it a great one.

Successfully made my first load of bread using pasta Madre, it turned out well. Very happy about this. I was worried it was going to be dense AF, and inedible. It turned out fine, and I know what adjustments I need to make next time.

Slept okay last night.

50 degrees in the Fort this morning.

I hate cold weather, it makes my bones hurt.

High today will be in the 50's with a north wind.

Probably fire up the heater under my desk today.

Peddle something today.

Probably have to work late again tonight.

Fall has hit College Station finally (at least for a few days). Appointment in Houston; otherwise paperwork day. Need to get a pool part replaced. I fix one leak and another pops up.

-Tired. But that's life.
-Slept with the windows open. Used to love to do this but at some point we stopped. But they primed the bathroom cabinets yesterday and it smells to high heaven up in here.
-Not too bad of a day on the radar. Several meetings, go look at potential space for my team to move to.
-Travel work tonight. Someone texted me at 5:42AM to send them an invoice.

Great day in the city and Malecn area of Puerto Vallarta yesterday. Today is a catamaran ride across the Bay of Banderas and a hike to a waterfall plus beach stuff/shopping. Yesterday:

Just a few days away from getting our annual Secret Santa thing organized. It's sure to be a grand affair and grander than a fair.

Slept pretty well between waking up to hear the wind howl. We had some pretty good gusts on the island yesterday and overnight.

Drive home today.

Finish a little project for mom today before I go. Thankfully my brother was an electrician early in his career and always brings good tools when he visits because there is always something to repair or upgrade on a 111 year-old house.

Lone Star Bike Rally this weekend. I bet the weather keeps quite a few of them away.

• Gym done
• Foot sore AF after stepping on a rebar twist tie wire the contractors left behind. Went 1/2 inch in my heel, and it was a "pull it out now or it will really hurt in a few minutes" moment. Tetanus shot up to date.
• New sidewalk, path looks great
• Starting food for funeral meals this weekend.

• Prada acted up again last night. Cute as she is, she's becoming a huge pain since she doesn't like to go to the bathroom outside when it's raining
• Nothing like waking up to finding out she's gotten out of her crate and left a couple of dog logs on the floor
• No firm plans for Halloween yet. The big blowout party was on Saturday so on Friday we might just go have a good time downtown or at Park Circle
• Should be plenty of action with a lot of the local bars, and at home after we're done there of course

Don't do anything I wouldn't do!

• It is very cold and windy here and I am upset now.
• This calls for breakfast tacos
• Woke up super early and cleaned the bathroom randomly. Is this early onset dementia or something?
• Get my hair did
• Groceries later. HEB at a minimum, maybe Sams if I have the energy to deal with the crowds.

• Maybe even some things

Nasty morning going on outside. Rained on getting my coffee. It's windy enough that my umbrella was pretty much useless. I turned the heat up to 72F, but between the darkness and listening to the wind howl, I'm having trouble getting warm. I need a cat in my lap. Sun comes out tomorrow!!

Feels like 26! Those poor guys on the roof!

First heard about Coal Chamber from Dee Snyder(Twisted Sister). He directed a film called Strangeland and it featured some music by Coal Chamber.

EDIT - It's SUX if you didn't know that. Thought of it looking at your current conditions above.

I started flying into it by myself when I was 7 years old. It's under used in branding for business around town.

Midwestern farmers love their overalls. I have a core memory of my grandparents' laundry room having a half dozen or more of my granddad's overalls hanging in the wall.

It's nice, but it's not spontaneous. It's all pre-planned (sorry to disabuse your notion, but it's better if you know).

Of course it's preplanned. It's a package tour deal. And it was a fun experience. Next time we plan to take a (preplanned) tour of the PV Botanical Gardens when we return. Don't even get me started about the drunk abuelitas dancing to the music on the return trip to the port after a few too many "free" margaritas. About the only non-preplanned things we did was to hang out on the beach/by the pool, walk the marina daily, hit the Oxxo's and take a taxi to the Soriano's or the Malecon.
