Someone just texted me from this number to try and sell me ND Tix at $250 each. I asked them to PM me and they can't. Said their username is Mayhem 143.

They both reached out to me after I replied to a legit seller telling him I texted him.
They apparently searched my profile and buying/selling history and found my phone number. They copied and pasted the info from the legit seller's post and tried to get me to believe all sorts of nonsense, including a screen shot of tickets in his apple wallet (tried to make me believe that was a screen shot of the tickets in his 12th man acct) that were in the same section and row. He sent me "wife's email for Zelle acct: Kyla Rigby kylarigby46@gmail.com.

Don't fall for these scammers! Always have someone respond to your post and PM you. And always check their AgTags and credentials and history on their profile.

And do not post your phone number on any posts when you are selling.

Oh gosh I'm so sorry! I wish you would have seen my post before he got you. It's so disgusting this is so prevalent! Texags used to be the easiest and safest place to buy and sell. Remember the days before we could transfer from our acct to theirs? We would just make an agreement (hand-shake deal over the phone) and there was never a doubt that the person would show up at your designated meeting place to make the swap (even if, by the time game day rolled around and they could have gotten a better ticket for less money) and finalize the deal. Or we would mail the ticket and they would send a check at the same time.

We can no longer trust that everyone on TexAgs is "a good Ag". It's a real shame.

I think the time has come that the staff needs to compile a document with all the steps that someone should take when trying to buy tickets off this site. The staff needs to share and explain to their users, all the different ways and "tricks" these scammers use to take us. It wouldn't be that difficult.
Short of that, those of us who have gotten scammed, should post in detail what happened in our particular case.

Check this out… this person came back to me to supposedly return my money. Asked for my name and email address… I was hopeful at first but thought, yea he has something up his sleeve to try and get me again. Not surprising, I have not received my money back.

Omg. Unbelievable. I commend you for doing and saying what you did though. I'm just sorry you are not getting your money back.
Did I mention that another scammer texted me a few days later copying and pasting from the same post of the legit aggie from whom I bought them? He was going to try the same thing as the other scammer. I just ignored the text because I was so darn busy at that moment. I really should have "played" him to see what exactly his scam would look like. I need to post his number as well for a warning.

Everyone needs to post as much information as they can about these scammers and then legit Aggies trying to buy tickets need to, at the very least, search the number and emails and names and payment details they are given to see if it comes up. We can all help each other if we take the time to do these things.

Edit: I just realized that cell number I already posted was the second one who reached out. It was the same day (not two days later like I mistakenly said). The guy who almost took me was the email (but he had texted my cell from his email)

Both of these numbers are a scammer. He tried to sell me tickets claiming to be an Aggie that I had already bought tickets from. Said he was Duman08 and he is not.

He DM'd me as well. I was on the fence about him. Sorry to hear that. Seems like it is really not worth it unless the person has been on Tex Ags for years. Any new accounts selling tickets are a red flag.

It's a shame because I know there are some good people in here. I have dealt with them with good success but unfortunately there are too many scammers.

Seems like the majority of scams happen to people who make WTB posts. It is worth it to take more time to find WTS posts that match what you want.
