On the women's side I hate it because you have three amazing seniors like Dickson, Montgomery, Covington, and Fairchild who have done a lot great for this university, but there's not a lot of help outside of them.

We brought in Adriana Tatum a top transfer but she's been hurt all season. Sofia Yakushina, hurt all outdoor season. Winny Bii transfers to Oregon mid season. We'll finish up high at nationals but we won't be able to win it

Outside of our 2 freshman 110h we had no runners outperform or even get their normal times in any individual running events.

Really disappointing meet overall.

Can anyone get the splits for the first 2 legs of the relay? I think Hemphill had at least a low 45 out of the blocks. That would be huge for us going into nationals.

The timing website I think is inaccurate for the first two legs because they have most guys going 43 and some under it for the first leg, then they have everyone going 48/49 for the second leg

However it does have Escobar at a 44.8 and Farquharson at a 44.2

I saw those splits and knew they were bogus. I tried to time from the replay this morning on SECN. I didn't get it good but it gave me some idea what happened. Meet replays again at 8:00 sAM on SECN. Gonna try to do it better.

I think Musa went out a little too hard to early, the adrenaline had to have been insane running in your first ever conference relay and wanting to get back up into the race after some strong legs from other schools. He has been running really well lately, just doesn't have the championship experience yet!

But shout out to Demarco Escobar! What a run from that man! The senior from Converse Judson came out strong as a freshman, but has dealt with adversity and injuries since. However he's having his best year yet running a couple 46.1's in the open and some strong relays! He went out hard on the relay and never let up. He was flying out there!!

Also he became a dad last semester with a mutual friend of mine! Perhaps fatherhood helped him find an extra gear!

I also applaud Lawson Jacobs for trying to give it a go out there… you can tell he wasn't completely healthy! I feared he had a far worse injury, but glad he was able to give it a go. Hopefully he continues to heal. Regionals is 2 weeks away, nationals in about a month! A healthy Jacobs gets us in contention to podium or win this relay. And this will be a national meet where every single point will be monumental.

He's sitting in 19th right now, so he should be all good and qualified! A whole month is a long time and in my opinion I think he'll be good to go. However I have no info on it! Probably didn't want to risk any injury in conference, at least I'm hoping
