Per HC Paul Maurice, Florida Panthers Captain Aleksander Barkov is currently undergoing surgery (right knee injury).

Maurice says they will hopefully have a detailed update later today.

Yeah, looks like he could be out for the season. Tlachuk also just had knee surgery putting him out til December. Not sure if they can do a 3-peat without Barky.

Interesting thought exercise if Dallas could have a chance against any other Eastern conference team other than Panthers. If we can get through our own gauntlet...

Burnsy is a total G and we love him. He has coached camps at or local rink over the summer and you could not ask for a nicer guy. Also he is a giant!!

Stranges not being sent back to the AHL is interesting to me.

Hyry hasn't been either (was a mistake in the graphic). Hryckowian hasn't been sent down either. Those guys will stay up for at least one more preseason game. I don't think any one of them is staying to start the season, but with the Benn injury it IS a possibility.

When the Stars first moved into AAC, we had the 3 seats at 312, F for about 7-8 years. It was awesome with kids.

Holy crap y'all, the TD Garden in Boston is a nice facility! Concourses are nice, big, and clean, and the seating bowl is so cool - the 3rd level hangs out over and closer than the 2nd. I love the AAC, but this place rocks. If you have a chance, catch a game here.

Boston is definitely on my bucket list of places to catch a Stars game! Unfortunately they always play at inconvenient times. Like on a Tuesday in late March this year...

Some of this is undoubtedly posturing, but the City of Dallas better be careful. They could be without a major sports franchise in a matter of years.

I would cancel my half season plan if they moved to Plano. With traffic it could take 1.5 to 2 hours to drive to Plano for a 7:00 pm start.

As it is now I can drive through Alvarado and up 67 if traffic is bad going through Arlington. Usually can get to the AAC in less than an hour.

I only catch a game or two a year. I loathe going downtown. For one or two I'd likely prefer it.

Why not move them to Arlington like the other two teams? It would become the ultimate Sports city in Texas.

I'm the opposite. If they moved to Collin County I'd consider getting season tickets again for the first time since 2002. I can't drive to downtown Dallas multiple times per week anymore.

Without traffic I live about 10 minutes from AAC (straight shot down the Tollway), so this would be a big bummer for me. Hockey is my most attended sporting event ever since the Cowboys moved out to Arlington, but not sure I'm making a drive to Plano or Frisco to attend games, probably just catch them on TV like I do the Cowboys.

My family has had Mavs/Stars tickets for as long as I can remember, and I definitely think there is a world where they have neither when both of the teams move.

At the end of the day I bet their numbers are showing them that a lot of season ticket holders for the Stars are further North and make the drive down into Dallas for the games. My only question is can they recreate the urban feel around AAC that took so long to get going the first time. I guess maybe the blueprint for successfully doing that has become a little easier based on success the Rangers had in Arlington, and other stadiums around the country doing it.

Selfishly it sucks, but Gaglardi has been a great owner thus far IMO, and I trust him/want him to do what is best for the team.

I brought this up 2 seasons ago and most people said it wouldn't happen. My buddy that works on the medical team said even Frisco is an option.

On a side note, if they do move north I'd likely get season tickets again. Down town from Prosper is just a haul

Yeah I was one who was told by my friend w the Stars there was no intention of leaving the AAC. Different vibes from our texts yesterday. Moving to Plano would definitely save me a few grand a year.
