I thought Cutler was ok, sub 46, and he had to run through traffic and then to the outer lanes for the handoff. Thought I saw him collide in the passing zone too.

Any realistic chance Victor can get top 3 ?

Minnesota already at 23 points and they have a strong 4x100 and a triple jumper left.

New Mexico is hoping to repeat what they did in the 10k in the 5000 and add more in the steeple. They're at 18 points.

South Florida has both relays in the final along with a one athlete in the 100/200/400 and a good discus thrower.

Arkansas is at 6 points with Jordan Anthony, 2 800 runners, a decathlete who will probably finish second, and both relays.

USC is at zero but they have 2 in the 100, 2 in the 200 and 1 in the 400, and 1 in the 400 hurdles. They also have both relays and a really good discus thrower and high jumper.

We're at 10, with 2 in the 400 hurdles, 1 in the steeple, 1 in the 400, and 1 in the 800, as well as the 4x400

I'm gonna try to crunch the numbers all I can, but man there's almost no way to predict what's going to happen

it will be tough, but not entirely possible. It can always be a slow paced race where multiple people are scared to take it out fast. He's going against some monsters in this race. He needs to play it very tactical. He doesn't wanna take it out so fast with other people who may do so, but he also needs to stay within striking distance of scoring. We'll see how the pace plays out. If he's completely healthy, he has the potential to score! Top 3 may be hard, but it'll be a crazy race. In a final there always seems to be some collisions or falls in the water! Kibiego scoring may be a huge advantage for us!

Based on published splits:

46.87 Hemphill
45.94 Zamzow
45.71 Farquharson
44.58 Robinson

I'd bet we see Hatib in the final for Hemphill. But I would not rule out Nortje.

If this Robinson shows up Friday, we're going to be in serious business

We would need whitmarsh to win, 4x400 to win, Robinson and Scott get 2nd Other 2 guys get 4 points
Is that pretty much our best path to 50 ?

Terrible start, but it's still all in front of us.

JQ false start hurt but form charts put him at 10 points total between 110/400 hurdles. Bryce McCray finaling might cancel that out. We were charted for 10 hurdle points and if scored on prelim times we had 9 points. Sasha W was huge.

Everything else held form. I had hoped for upside in the 1500, but oh well.

I'm a little bit glad we didn't final in the 4x1 -- I think it improves our score with Auhmad and JQ being able to focus on their events. Everything else held form.

It's there for the taking on Friday!

It might take less than 50, I say 45 makes it comfortable, barring any upset victories from the other contenders. Arkansas scares me cause of Jordan Anthony. We really need some help in the sprints and have some guys not on title contenders win.

If we can get 2 wins, maybe Auhmad surprises us in the 400 and can win. Sam Whitmarsh will definitely have a say in first place also. Ja'Qualon I think can definitely get 2nd in the 400 hurdles, don't forget about Bryce, I think he can surely get 5th. The top 4 seem so far ahead of everyone. But the hurdles are volatile, they can change everything. Especially in a race where everyone is sprinting and trying to catch another. The 400 hurdles are never clean at any level, so maybe even some catastrophes can play in our favor. Same with the steeple, Kibiego can score with a smart race!

The 4x400 will be huge. We really need to flex our muscle there and go for something crazy! I'm tired of the 3:02 and 3:03's! Let's put an exclamation on it there!

We need some big performances, at least 4 top three finishes! Hopefully a couple golds!

Yeah that was really weird! And it wasn't holding himself back, he just looked off from the relay on. Wonder if it's a mental thing or more of a physically drained thing!! I agree, but he still scares me no matter what LOL! But hopefully he's not on his a game
