Elston Turner just missed another 30-point performance, but didn’t miss much else in a dominant second half.

Making a strong case for All-Southeastern Conference acclaim, Elston scored 28 points, Ray Turner had 16 and Texas A&M (17-12, 7-9) held South Carolina without a field goal for more than 10 minutes in the second half to take a 74-56 basketball victory before 9,561 Saturday at Reed Arena.
