2014 Houston Lamar safety John Bonney grew up around the A&M coaching staff while some of its most prominent members were at UH. He was in town for the Arkansas game, after which he talked to TexAgs.

The Latest: Houston Lamar S John Bonney

Bonney has been a well-known name in the Houston area since he started on varsity as a freshman for Lamar. Bonney tripped to College Station this past weekend for the A&M/Arkansas game and left more than impressed. Bonney is very familiar with the A&M coaching staff, having been around the Houston program growing up because his father played basketball there.
