On Saturday, the college football spotlight was centered over Austin, Texas, for a top-five showdown between Kirby Smart's Georgia Bulldogs and the (no longer) top-ranked Texas Longhorns.
Meanwhile, in a couple of more traditional SEC venues — Starkville, Mississippi and Fayetteville, Arkansas — a pair of much more familiar adversaries were handling business to ensure that same spotlight would simply need to move 90 miles to the east.
