When the NCAA Tournament bracket was released last spring, the Southeastern Conference’s second-place Aggies stood with a conference record of 15-3, earned a 7-seed and were assigned to play 10-seed Penn State.

Meanwhile, the 11-7 fourth-place Tennessee Volunteers were given a 4-seed and played 13-seed Louisiana in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
