As had been the case twice previously this football season, Texas A&M squandered a two-touchdown lead in the final quarter. But this time the Aggies could not pull out a win in overtime.

Instead, tenth-ranked A&M allowed 23 unanswered points in the fourth quarter and fell to Ole Miss 29-28 when Gary Wunderlich converted a 39-yard field goal with 37 seconds remaining.
