Texas A&M's dominant performance against an overmatched New Mexico State squad gave the Aggies a chance to see how some of their young talent is developing and to rest players that will be key to the defense's success as the season wears on.

• In all honesty, there isn't a ton to analyze or break down following the Ags' performance against New Mexico State. As far as lesser-conference competition goes, the Aggie offense is a decent one that puts up a lot of yards through the air and features a major-conference caliber and possibly future NFL tailback.

A&M defensive coordinator John Chavis referred to the New Mexico State offense as 'spooky' last week, getting into the Halloween spirit early.
