Football Recruiting: 2016 Spring Westfield WR Tyrie Cleveland

The Touchdown Club of Houston held its annual awards banquet on Wednesday to announce its offensive, defensive and coach of the year awards. Some of the top prospects from the Houston area were up for the award — Cleveland among them.

While he didn’t take home the award, just being there was quite the honor.

“It felt great to just be recognized as one of the great players in Houston,” said Cleveland. “It’s just a blessing to be here and show some of my abilities on the field.

The one-time Texas A&M commit keeps pretty much to himself when it comes to the recruiting process, and doesn’t give much away. With the season over, his recruitment has picked up dramatically.
