They were just seven words.

Texas A&M Defensive Coordinator John Chavis could have recited a monologue, but long-suffering Aggies could find hope in those words he uttered at the end of Thursday’s spring football practice session.

“We’ve made some big improvement up front,” he said.

Of course, A&M fans who have endured historically inept defenses the past two seasons would rather his quote ended after five words.
