Spring football began Monday for Texas A&M, but not for several players on the roster.

Center Mike Matthews, linebacker Otaro Alaka and receiver Josh Reynolds are among a number of players who will miss spring drills with shoulder injuries, Aggie coach Kevin Sumlin said.
