LSU 34, Texas A&M 10: Defense in review

The Aggies didn't hold up for long against the Tigers' punishing ground game, as many expected. They did force early stops that the offense failed to take advantage of. A&M will take a mixed bag to Columbia.

What we learned

1. By any measure, LSU took it to A&M. The Aggies started out playing well enough but, had this been an MMA fight, we would say the Tigers waited patiently for their chance, pounced on A&M and never let the defense get off of the mat. The Tigers ran for 324 yards while averaging nearly six yards per carry and were 11-of-17 on third down.
